GREENLAND

Explore Greenland and experience its breathtaking nature

Over the years, I have had the great pleasure of exploring Greenland’s breathtaking landscapes on foot – both on my own and in the company of others. Every hike has been a reminder of how raw, magnificent and emotive Greenland’s nature is. From the dramatic mountains around Tasermiut Fjord in South Greenland to the East Greenland tundra of Ittoqqortoormiit and the ice-filled fjords of Disko Bay – each region holds its own stories and challenges.

Hiking in Greenland is more than just moving your body. It’s a journey into the wilderness, where the human presence recedes into the background and the rhythm of nature takes its place. I’ve slept in a tent under the open sky, crossed rivers and hiked through deep, lush valleys, while reindeer, musk oxen and Arctic foxes have crossed my path. Being alone in the mountains is a special kind of freedom – but also humbling, because here it’s nature that rules.

On this page, I share stories of my hikes and experiences from all over Greenland to inspire those who dream of exploring the country. Whether you are a beginner or an experienced hiker, I hope that my experiences can inspire you to make your own adventures in the Greenlandic nature.
